Robert McBeath VC

Channel 4 Lost Generation Schools Competition 2006

The school's S3 History class submitted a PowerPoint presentation on the life of Robert McBeath to the Channel 4 Lost Generation Schools Competition.   McBeath grew up in Kinlochbervie and earned the Victoria Cross during WWI.

The entry received a "Highly Commended" award from  the judges.  Ours was the top Scottish entry and in the top five nation-wide.

Well done to Emma Adam, Miranda MacDonald,  Danielle MacKay, Donna MacKinnon and Siobhan Macleod!

The background music is a tune called Marni Swanson, played by the school-based traditional music group, A Corra Glas.
