Kinlochbervie High School
Newsletter 5 - March 2009
Vision Statement
Kinlochbervie High School is an inclusive community. Excellence in education, the welfare, security and happiness of all pupils and staff are our priorities.
Kinlochbervie High School endeavours to take the needs of the individual into account. We aim to provide pupils and staff with the skills, experiences and qualifications they need to give them choices in their progression through life.
Easter Concert
In school tonight at 7.00 pm (Tuesday 24 March) there will be an informal concert. All parents, families and friends are very welcome to attend. Also, don't miss the raffle for shinty funds - the main prize is a wonderful Easter Indulgence Hamper crammed with lots of goodies.
Young Quality Scot
Emma Adam and Chelsey Ross have achieved Young Quality Scot Awards this year because of their contributions, in a voluntary capacity, within our community. They were up against stiff competition and we are delighted with this recognition of their work.
Blythswood Recycling
We received thanks for the recycling efforts as follows:
Here is an update on the kind contributions from the school. Over the course of the year the school has contributed 1503 kg of clothes and 1856 kg of books and bric-a-brac, which is fantastic. Thank you all very much, keep up the good work!
Another BBC Radio Scotland Broadcast
"No Going Back" was broadcast last week so is available on the BBC Radio web site's Listen Again function for the remainder of the week. This is a very interesting programme looking at the difference this school has made to the community. There are many interviews including several with parents of our pupils who were former Golspie High pupils and had to stay away from home in hostels.
