This excellent web site has been created by Highland Council Education Service staff to support learning and teaching in Highland. It contains material for pupils, parents and teachers. There are links to a variety of on-line educational resources (such as encyclopaedias, atlases, biographical dictionaries and quotations), links to a web sites that are relevant to pupils doing research projects (arranged by subject). There is also a section providing help with choosing reading books for all pupils from early readers to Higher and Advanced Higher level.

Parent Zone is a web site run by the Scottish Executive Education Department (SEED) that provides information for parents about school education. This has been developed as part of the National Grid for Learning by SEED and parent groups.
BBC Parents (Opens in new window).
This web page is a gateway to the educational resources on the BBC website. The page offers direct links to a variety of articles and revision resources. While many parenting web sites focus on younger children, this site includes information of relevance to teenagers and their parents.
